Altrusa International is divided into fifteen Districts that are geographical groupings of Clubs. Our club is in District Three, which includes Altrusa Clubs from Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Altrusa International has a convention every biennium, currently 2003-2005. The next International Convention will be held at the Westin Rio Mar Beach Resort in San Juan, Puerto Rico, July 15-18, 2005.

District holds a conference every year that is hosted by one of the clubs in the District. The District Three Conference was held at the Park Inn Gateway Conference Center in Hickory, NC, April 29-May 2, 2004, hosted by the Statesville, NC Club. Decisions about Altrusa are made and Board members and committee members are elected at the District Conferences. Our club participates by sending delegates and alternates who vote our Club’s wishes concerning the different issues. One example of this is that we have been very proactive about including men as members in our club.
