Mission Statement:

Altrusa International Inc of Columbus, Georgia is a service organization of professional women and men who volunteer their time and talents to provide community and environmental service as well as literacy and educational grants by contributing financial and hands-on support to benefit the people of the greater Chattahoochee Valley.

Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is an honor. Each member has been singled out as a recognized leader in business, industry or a profession in the community. As Altrusans, members channel their talents to the organizations' community service focus and experience opportunities for professional growth, leadership development and that special camaraderie that comes when peers share common goals and rewards.

The strength of Altrusa membership comes from its diversity -- its ability to mirror a community's commercial and professional strengths.

Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is by invitation only from a club based in the local community.

Altrusa offers an opportunity to use your time and talent to enrich the lives of others, form lasting friendships, enjoy a spirit of fellowship, and develop leadership abilities as you assume responsibilities in the club. Altrusa membership also provides a unique opportunity to work with local civic and volunteer groups on service projects of lasting benefit.

Membership is by invitation only. Our meetings are usually held in the evening of the fourth Thursday of the month except in November and December. If you are interested in attending a meeting please contact our President.
