Mission Statement:

Altrusa International Inc of Columbus, Georgia is a service organization of professional women and men who volunteer their time and talents to provide community and environmental service as well as literacy and educational grants by contributing financial and hands-on support to benefit the people of the greater Chattahoochee Valley.

Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is an honor. Each member has been singled out as a recognized leader in business, industry or a profession in the community. As Altrusans, members channel their talents to the organizations' community service focus and experience opportunities for professional growth, leadership development and that special camaraderie that comes when peers share common goals and rewards.

The strength of Altrusa membership comes from its diversity -- its ability to mirror a community's commercial and professional strengths. Diversity is assured by the classification each business executive or professional holds and by the limit placed on the number of members in each classification.

Membership in Altrusa International, Inc. is by invitation only from a club based in the local community.
