Strawberries, Scones and Stone Soup
Altrusa International, Inc. of Columbus, Georgia collected recipes with humorous anecdotes that were published in a cookbook 'Strawberries, Scones and Stone Soup'. All proceeds from the cookbook sales go to the Muscogee County main library’s endowment fund and the book is now available for purchase at the main library. The cookbook also will be available for sale at the Annual Used Book Sale over Labor Day Weekend.

Book Sale Proceed Recipients
Over the past 28 years of book sales, Altrusa International, Inc. of Columbus, Georgia, has donated over $170,000 to the Columbus community in the form of grants, awards, and contributions to local recipients. This is in addition to our hands-on work with various environmental and literacy projects.

How You Can Help
Save up books you'd like to recycle and donate them to our Annual Used Book Sale. There will be blue collection barrels available in July at McDonalds and the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. To receive email notifications of upcoming Book Sale events send an email including your name and address to AltrusaBookSale@knology.net. Including your name and address will allow us to remove your information from the hard copy notification list and thereby save money that can be used toward community programs.
